Judgment is one of the common destinies awaiting all men, Believer's and unbelievers, the young and the old, the rich and the poor, will all face judgement. The judgement will not be corporate but personal. As there is more than one restoration, there is more than one judgement. Some of the judgement the bible speaks about include the believes, self judgement at the communion table, the judgement of the believers at the judgment seat of Christ (2Corinthians 5:10), the judgement of the nations and the judgement of the unsaved at the great white Throne (Revelation 20:11). In this article, our focus is on the judgement of the believers and the judgement of the unsaved.
THE JUDGEMENT OF THE BELIEVERS (SAINTS)
Believers will no longer be judge for sin, as long as they do not go back to sin. The believers sins , which have been repented and forsaken, have been judged in Christ at Calvary . However , there is a judgement the believers must go through. This is the judgement of the believers' works for the purpose of rewards ( Matthew 16:27).
1. The focus of the judgement: The quality of work, the motive behind every work and the level of faithfulness.
2. The candidates for the judgement: The resurrected ' dead in Christ and the living who remain in Christ when He comes at rapture (1Thessalonians 4:16-17).
3. The place of the judgement: The judgement seat of Christ
4. The time for the judgement: After Christ's coming at rapture , during the Marriage Supper of the lamp(Revelation 19:9).
THE RESULT OF THE JUDGEMENT ARE
1. Rewards and crowns for the faithful
2. Losses for those whose works lack the required devine quality. (1Corinthians 3:15).
THE JUDGEMENT OF THE UNSAVED (SINNER)
This is the final judgement that will climax the end of this age . The judgement of sinners in certain ( Proverbs 11:12).
1. The result of the judgement: sinners shall be cast into the lake of fire ( Revelation 20:15).
2. The candidates for the judgement: Those whose names are not in the Book of life, These include the abominable ( homosexuals, lesbians, murderer. Thieves etc.
3. The place of the judgement: The great with throne, God, the impartial and all- knowing God, sits on the throne .
4. The time for the judgement: After the millennial ( one thousand years) reign of Jesus Christ on earth. (Revelation 20:5-6.
Remember, earthly judgement can be influenced and compromised , but divine judgement cannot, it is judgement in righteousness and truth. The judgement of both the believers and the sinners.
